World Athletics recently announced that the Mixed 4x100m Relay will be introduced at the 2025 World Relays as well as the 2026 World Ultimate Championships. Is another mixed relay a good idea for track & Field.

Antonisha Stewart of Texas State successfully defended her 60-meter hurdle title as she raced to the win in 8.38 seconds. Samone Thompson of A-State was second and Kaylee Krenek, Stewart's teammate, was third.

Ryan Hastings of App State won the men's 800-meters followed by a trio of Texas State runners in Tyrone Jackson (2nd), DeQuad Binder (3rd) and Kyle Denomme (4th). Hastings' winning time was 1:52.01.

In West Africa, Burkina Faso's leader, Paul-Henri Damiba, has been ousted in a military coup. Captain Ibrahim Traore has taken over as interim leader
The soldiers behind the coup say they have dissolved the government and suspended the constitution. That's according to a statement read by an army army captain on state television.
