It's not every day a nation celebrates 50 years of independence. Accordingly, it's not every day the defining voice of the nation's most successful pop reggae band since the 1980s gets to make a personal contribution. "Land We Love" is a modern day praise song in the timeless soulful reggae tradition written and performed by Bunny Rugs, lead singer of Third World. Although performed by Rugs, "Land We Love" speaks for the nation. "Jamaicans we are number one," he sings, "world leaders and champions, prophets and musicians". Assisted by Dean Fraser's breezy saxophone solos, Bunny Rugs puts a special spin on independence and a lot of love in the dance and through your speakers with "Land We Love". "Land We Love" was mixed by Stephen Stanley, recorded at Grafton Studios
The proceeds from LAND WE LOVE will go the benefit the Jamaica Childrens Heart Fund / Chain of Hope . The single will be available digitally on August 28 via VP Records.

LYRICS:
There's a land not so far away
Where the sun keep shinning all through the day
And this land that we all love
God gave us the wood and the water
Blessed by the moon and stars above

Sweet, sweet Jamaica
Beautiful Jamaica

Everyday feels like a holiday
Sweet reggae music playing
From Negril to Morant Bay

Sweet, sweet Jamaica
Oh Jamaica
Irie, irie, irie Jamaica
Sweet Jamaica our land we love

Jamaicans we are number one
World leaders and champions
Prophets and musicians
Out of many we are one

Sweet, sweet Jamaica
Beautiful Jamaica
Whoooooo Jamaica
Sweet Jamaica is the land of love

There's a land not so faraway
Where the sun keep shinning all through the day
And this land that we all love
God gave us the wood and the water
Blessed by the moon and stars above

About the Jamaica Childrens Heart Fund / Chain Of Hope
Since 1997 both Sir Magdi Yacoub-Pres. COHUK and Dr Richard Perryman-
Chairman-JCHF(USA) along with their medical teams, have been at the
forefront of donating their skills and time cost free, to save the
lives of over 700+ needy Jamaican children and adolescents. In 2007
Chain of Hope Jamaica was launched, as a registered charity in Jamaica
with an office based at Bustamante Children's Hospital, Kingston. The
main aim of the charity is to support the establishment of a
self-sustained pediatric cardiac program at the Hospital, enabling the
local Jamaican cardiac team trained in the UK by COH to perform
surgeries.
Gift of Life Int'l NY and Rotarians have been amazing in both support
and sponsorship of the program. Over the past three-plus decades GOL
has provided the means to save the lives of more than 12,000 children.
These children have come from 64 countries on 6 continents, including
Jamaica. All funds donated to this effort go directly to GOL NY.

FACTS about Kingston you probably did not know. (History of Kingston, Jamaica)

History of Kingston & St. Andrew

Kingston Early Beginnings

The parish of Kingston is the capital of Jamaica and it is located on the south-eastern end of the island.

Until 1692, the parish of Kingston did not exist. Kingston came into existence in 1692 after a massive earthquake and itโ€™s subsequent after effects, destroyed two thirds of Port Royal and killed about three thousand inhabitants. Survivors of the earthquake fled to the Liguanea Plains only to perish from exposure and disease. As a result, two weeks after Port Royalโ€™s destruction, the government purchased two hundred acres of land known as โ€œColonel Barryโ€™s Hog Crawle,โ€ at a cost of ยฃ1000. Up on until the sale, the land was owned by Sir William Beeston who was absent from the island at the time, therefore his attorney Nicholas Lawes, conducted the sale on Beeston behalf.

Creating the best soccer field requires careful planning and execution. The journey of an excavator is an important part of this process, as it is responsible for the initial site preparation and excavation.

The first step in creating a soccer field is to select a suitable site. The site should be relatively flat, well-drained, and have good soil quality. Once the site has been selected, the excavator will begin the site preparation process by clearing any trees, rocks, or other obstacles from the area.

After the site has been cleared, the excavator will begin the process of excavating the field. This involves removing the topsoil layer and any underlying rocks or debris to create a level playing surface. The depth of excavation will depend on the desired playing surface, with most soccer fields requiring a depth of at least 6 inches.

Once the excavator has completed the initial excavation, the next step is to install drainage systems to ensure that the field remains dry and playable, even after heavy rainfall. This may involve installing a network of pipes or a system of perforated drains to channel water away from the field.

With the drainage system in place, the excavator will then begin the process of installing the sub-base. This involves laying a layer of crushed stone or gravel over the excavated area to create a stable base for the playing surface. The sub-base layer will be compacted using heavy machinery to ensure that it is level and even.

Finally, the excavator will install the playing surface, which may be made of natural grass or artificial turf. The playing surface will be carefully installed to ensure that it is level, even, and meets all necessary safety requirements.

Overall, creating the best soccer field requires careful planning, execution, and attention to detail. The journey of an excavator is just one part of this process, but it is a crucial step in ensuring that the playing surface is level, stable, and playable for years to come.
