In this episode of Diaspora Transition, we chat with Kita, a vibrant content creator and artist from Gabon who now calls Ghana home ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฆโžก๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ. Kita takes us through her journey, from moving to Ghana in 2019 to diving into the local nightlife scene ๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿ’ƒ. She opens up about the challenges and rewards of adjusting to a new culture, sharing personal stories like a chilling near-miss experience at a club ๐Ÿ˜ณ and her thoughts on how December in Ghana transforms into a lively nightlife paradise ๐ŸŽ‰.

Growing up in Houston, Texas ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ, and later transitioning into life as a student and creative in Ghana, Kita gives us a fresh perspective on living and thriving in Africa ๐ŸŒโœจ. She reflects on her personal growth, her career in tech ๐Ÿ’ป, and why she believes Ghana is the perfect place for foreigners to experience the best of African culture ๐Ÿฅ๐ŸŽจ.

Keywords: Moving from the USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ to Ghana ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ was a huge change! The cost of living ๐Ÿ’ฐ in Ghana was much lower, and I had to adapt to Ghanaian food ๐Ÿฒ after missing American food ๐Ÿ”. Accra's traffic ๐Ÿš— was a challenge, and I had to get used to the Ghanaian weather ๐ŸŒž. The language barriers ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ were tricky, but English is widely spoken. I loved the Ghanaian hospitality ๐Ÿค—, and the expat community ๐ŸŒ made me feel welcome. Life here was different, but socializing ๐Ÿ‘ซ, exploring new places ๐ŸŒ, and adjusting to the job market ๐Ÿ’ผ kept things exciting. Despite some relocation challenges โœˆ๏ธ, I embraced the experience of living in Ghana ๐Ÿก with my family ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ.
