My daughter, who loves to raid my closet, and has had her eyes set on this dress for a while (LOL) showed up to her shoot and said "Mummy I'm going to be as honest as when we have our chats; is that ok?"

My answer: "Absolutely, yes! please don't be afraid to be yourself, ever!"

I've always allowed her space to speak and be open, maintaining respect, but more importantly my ego aside, being honest and vulnerable with her thoughts and feelings as she navigates life and readies to set foot into the world as a contributing citizen of the world, unafraid to leave her indelible mark.
