Iranian media say a US Navy ship has been hit by two missiles, after it ignored warnings from the Revolutionary Guard to halt.
It was sailing near ‌Jask ‌Island near the Strait of Hormuz and is now forced back.
The attack comes after US President Donald Trump announced a naval mission, dubbed Project Freedom, to guide stranded ships out of the Strait of Hormuz on Monday.
