I moved to Jamaica 12 years ago from New York to join my family’s hotel business in Negril. This video is a brief introduction of myself, Winthrope Wellington and to this channel. It includes a quick recap on how I ended up in Jamaica, future plans for the channel and my ambitions to complete the 6 major world marathons; Berlin, Tokyo, New York, Chicago, London and Boston. I will be running the first of these 6 marathons this September 16, 2018 in Berlin.

I plan on uploading a video every week. Some weeks I will do an excursion somewhere in Jamaica, others will be insight into day to day life in Negril, and there will be some travel vlogs as well. Additionally, I plan on having elements of my marathon training in each weeks episode keeping viewers up to date with my training progress.

Lance Whittaker, a veteran sports journalist who has covered five Olympic Games, is correct when he said that Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce no longer has anything to prove to the world. She already reached unbelievable heights in her career, after all.

Lance’s Zone Interactive co host Ricardo Chambers, who also happens to be a Jamaican track and field athlete, took it a step further and said, [5:09-5:15] Well, the face of track and field - Chamber’s words - is planning to add more to her legacy, whether a gold medal or new record at the fast-approaching Paris Olympics.

So, to start her 2024 Olympic journey, the legendary Jamaican sprinter graced the track a few days ago after a 10-month-long hiatus. As you all know, the 37-year-old, fondly known as the “Polly Rocket” has been dominating the tracks for over a decade now. But this year, the five-world title holder is back to compete in what will be her fifth Olympic run.
